Report Writers: An Underutilized Business Builder
Professional astrologers sell reports to people who are not ready for an in-person reading. You can sell reports at fairs or email them to customers around the world. Charging $10 – $30 for five minutes work can add up to real money and often the report whets the person's appetite for a taped or in-person reading.
You might also consider giving free reports to clients who come for a reading as a means of building customer loyalty. You can explain to them that the reports are limited in their ability to integrate the pieces into a coherent picture, but can often go into more detail than one can in a reading. The reports can easily be personalized by highlighting the tightest orbs or scrawling a few notes in the margin.
Clients often take reports to work to show friends. While discussing the report you may pick up another client as your client describes how powerful it was to have an in-person reading with you.
Giving away reports is also a grand way to deal with all those acquaintances who keep bothering you for a reading, not knowing how much work it takes to prepare for a real reading.
