The main screen displays the loaded charts, the current planet positions and a tool bar for quick access to Solar Fire functions. As always, the transit chart of the moment automatically is calculated. You can also customize the background. Along the bottom are the moon phases, planets and lunations.

Transit Calendar |

Brand-new with Solar Fire 7 Gold is the transit calendar that puts whatever dynamic hits (mundane and/or personal) that you specify into beautiful daily, weekly or monthly calendar pages that you can view, print, sell and give to clients. These astro calendars also export to a file, email or other calendar programs. Plus, the transiting, progressed and directed aspects and ingresses have new interpretations that pop up on the screen and also print out in reports.

See your personal and/or daily transits and interpretations in our elegantly designed Calendar. You can easily and quickly display any dynamic report in calendar format, for a day, week or month at a time. You can print your Solar Calendar or email it to your family, friends or clients. Your interpretations can be shown as popup hint bubbles, or as a separate report. The Calendar can also be produced as a PDF file and then easily exported as calendar events into other calendar programs such as MS Outlook, or any other calendar applications that are compatible with the iCalendar or vCalendar formats.

Pop Up Birthday Reminders |
Now you can select friends, family and clients’ charts for a special pop-up birthday reminder! Every day that you open your Solar Fire Gold your selected reminders will pop-up and jog your memory for the birthdays of clients, family and friends. This is a great feature to send your clients a birthday greeting and make an appointment for a Solar Return and update consultation. Nothing like being professional and thoughtful to get return cliental.

Chart Reports |

The Chart Reports facility has always been a welcome addition to Solar Fire but now if you look you will see an extra Tabulations button. Click on this and be amazed by the elegance of the tabulations. All of the familiar chart reports are available with the addition of new ones. The new layout and new reports make this a definite improvement.

Astrodynes (also known as Cosmodynes) |
Many of you have requested this technique and our team has responded. Astrodynes can be viewed and printed in the new Report View tabulation list and have also been added as 8 different page objects. These can be added to a page using the Page Designer.

Solar Fire - Kepler Interface |
This feature alone is priceless. If you own both Kepler 7 and Solar Fire Gold as I do, you can export your current chart into Kepler 7 and have it automatically appear. Kepler 7 has had the ability to transfer charts for quite awhile and now both programs allow for easy transferring of charts. I use both programs extensively and this cuts my work to zero. What? Natal interpretations |
|
Double-clicking on a planet or two planets in aspect brings up an interpretation. This is a great way to learn astrology by allowing Solar Fire to prompt you when you need help with a delineation. You can also choose to print out a full report. The natal report in Solar Fire 7 Gold is more concise than the professional natal reports and is more suited to people who already know astrology.

Animated Bi-wheel |

The animated bi-wheel lets you step through your chart by year, month, day or hour.
Solar Fire Deluxe has an aspect highlighting and filter function that can make aspect lines thicker or only show the tightest aspects. In the screen shot above we set the display to show applying aspects as dotted line and separating aspects as solid lines.

Transits and Progressions Hit List Options |

You may save several different hit list settings for reuse later on other charts. You may choose just exact dates or include entering and leaving dates.

Hit List |
|
The hit list can be sorted by date, point1, point2, aspect, weighting, or event type. The hit list can be printed out with abbreviations instead of glyphs.

Graphical Ephemeris |
|
A graphical ephemeris is a great way to get a feel for how transiting and progressed planets move and form aspects. The horizontal lines show the positions of the natal planets. When the moving lines cross the horizontal lines the aspect glyph shows the type of aspect formed. This graph compresses the zodiac into 90 degrees so all the crossings are hard aspects. You can also select 360 degrees or other compressions like 60 degrees for all soft aspects

AstroCartography |
|
Solar Fire 7 comes with 16 maps and does eclipse paths. If you have purchased Solar Maps 3, it will replace the ACG program in Solar Fire 7 so you can open Solar Maps 3 within Solar Fire Gold.
